Tiny hyacinth-like flowers provide early-season nectar for bees. Naturalising bulbs multiply to produce a carpet of colour.
Likes any free draining soil in full sun or dappled shade. Flowering throughout spring, height and spread 20cm by 10 cm.
Plant in close groups in autumn at a depth of 10 cm. Best planted in drifts for a natural, woodland effect. After flowering, let the flowers and foliage die back before raking or hoeing away.
